A friend of mine visited with his family the other day. He brought his new digital camera and took pictures of the vacation. Each evening, he used the telephone and his laptop to send the cam- era’s pictures to his Web site, and then he tweaked his Web site’s set- tings to create a daily pictorial journal of the day’s events. You won’t find a black photo album in his closet; he’s sharing his life with anyone who cares to look. Other Web sites go to even greater extremes. A cab driver in New York has a digital camera hooked up to a cellular phone; every few minutes, the camera takes a picture of the bustling streets and automatically sends the photo to the cabby’s Web site. You needn’t be as elaborate with your own Web site. In fact, you don’t need to have a Web site at all.
