Fixed-Base Wireless Broadband
If you're beyond the reach of CATV-based Internet or DSL and aren't interested in trying to install a satellite dish, you still might be able to get broadband Internet service through a fixed wireless broadband Internet provider. These services use various frequencies of microwave signals to connect to the Internet.
