Due to the technical nature of most of the IEEE standards documents, most are quite lengthy. If you are not an electrical engineer, you might find that reading these documents can be quite a chore. The same can be said for the Request for Comments (RFC) documents that are used to define Internet standards. However, for those who want to read the documents, the IEEE has made those mentioned in this chapter available online in Adobe Acrobat format. The most pertinent technologies are discussed in following chapters.
