Typing Your Question

Figure 1.13 also shows a text box where you can type a question to the help system. When you want help and the Office Assistant is not showing, you can type your question, and Office displays a list of topics that attempt to answer your question.

Airbags for Office

In what is sometimes called "airbags for Office," several crash-recovery features are built into the Office products. If a system crash or power outage occurs before you've had a chance to save all your Office data to your disks, you get a chance when you restart the Office product to recover whatever file or files you were working with before the disaster.

Most of the time, the Office 2003 products are all smart enough to recover most, if not all, of your work. At worst, you typically have to save the recovered data under a name that differs from its original name before the problem began. Even early test releases of Office 2003 recovered files very well, which was fortunate considering how often the early Beta test versions of Office 2003 crashed!
